Bro. David Bois Passes
David Alan Bois died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. Born to Gerald John and Doris (Webster) Bois in Somerville, Mass., on Sept. 19, 1949, he grew up in Beverly, Mass., where he attended The Church in the Cove, graduated high school and stayed until joining the Navy. Ultimately, David moved to Rochester, N.H. It is there that he met his wife, Debi (Donahue). They married in Los Angeles in 1982, where they made their home until his passing.
David was a musician and an artist. He played guitar, wrote screenplays, poetry and songs; he built furniture, created beautiful ceramic tiles and was the "glazing" guru for the annual Empty Bowls efforts hosted by CVUMC. He had a gentle, loving soul.
David is a beloved son, brother, father and husband. He was predeceased by his father, Gerald, and grandparents, George and Frances (Gavel) Webster, but is survived by his wife, Debi; his mother and stepfather, Doris and Lee Prescott of Rochester, N.H.; his sister, Donna Bois, of Hooksett, N.H.; brother and sister-in law, Donald and Marie Bois of Waikoloa, Hawaii; stepbrother, Bill Prescott and his wife, Debbie, of Waldoboro, Maine; stepsister, Karen LeHoux, and her husband, Doug, of Sanford, Maine; stepsister, Donna Marquis, and her husband, Bill, of Berwick, Maine; his son, Derek Bois, of Aubrey, Texas; his daughter, Andrea Loomis, of Rochester, N.H.; grandchildren Josh, Jenna, Jessie, Michael and Ashton; as well as several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. The family grieves, but not without the comfort of knowing that he is at rest.
