Dad George Baldwin Passes
Dad George Louis Baldwin, of New Hampshire, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021.
George was born on February 19, 1950, in Natick, MA. From a young age, Dad Baldwin was active in the masonic fraternity. He joined John Eliot Chapter of Natick, MA, and quickly rose through the ranks to serve as Master Councilor in 1969. He went on to serve as a State Officer before becoming a Senior DeMolay. Dad Baldwin’s love for the masonic community continued through adulthood. He continued to volunteer as an advisor in Massachusetts DeMolay, where he was awarded with both the Degree of Chevalier and the Active Legion of Honor.
He also became active in Freemasonry, being raised in Meridian Lodge in Natick, MA, in 1971. He served as Meridian’s Worshipful Master in 1980. He also served the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts as a Grand Pursuivant in 1981. After moving to New Hampshire, Dad Baldwin continued his involvement in Freemasonry. He affiliated with Horace Chase Lodge #72 in Penacook, NH. He was also an active member of Scottish Rite (Valley of Concord), York Rite (Concord York Rite), and Eastern Star (Ionic-Ragged Mountain Chapter #20).
In 2011, Dad Baldwin was installed as Executive Officer for New Hampshire DeMolay. He would spend the next seven years striving to revitalize DeMolay within the Granite State.
Services for Dad George Baldwin will be on Saturday, September 11, at 2:00 pm at Williamstown Masonic Lodge (111 Brush Hill Road, Williamstown, VT 05679).
